Why a one-time price?
Restoring a family album is usually a project, not a habit. You might spend a weekend on a shoebox of prints and then not need the app again until the next reunion. A subscription or credits make you race the clock. A paid app doesn’t.
It also fits how the app works. Because processing happens on your device, there are no per-photo server costs to pass on to you.

$3.99 is the U.S. price, checked on September 25, 2026. Apple sets prices in other countries and shows your local price, including any tax, before you buy.
If you subscribed to an earlier version
Earlier versions of the app used a subscription. Since version 1.0.4, every restoration tool and full-resolution saving is included for everyone, including existing users, with no separate unlock.
- Update the app from the App Store if an older version still shows an access screen.
- Check for an active subscription in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Apple manages cancellations and refund requests for earlier purchases.

How that compares
Several popular restoration services are cloud-based and sold by subscription, often with a free tier that limits resolution or the number of photos.
